On this topic I will make a cilok.

Cilok is a round shaped snack with a chewy texture. Almost the same as meatballs, but the basic ingredients are different. If the meatballs have a lot of meat composition with a little flour, then reverse. Lots of flour and a little meat, some even have no meat. Therefore the cilok texture is far more springy than meatballs. The way to serve it is usually by using peanut sauce/chili sauce/mayonaise. Here's how you can make cilok.



         HOW TO MAKE CILOK

Ingredients :

  • 100 g flour
  • 150 g Tapioca flour
  • flavoring and salt.
  • Mushroom flavoring to taste
  • Beef flavoring to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Water sparingly


The Steps how to make cilok :

1. Mix the flour and tapioca flour

2. Then add mushroom flavoring, beef flavoring, salt and mashed garlic

3. Then pour the hot water slowly until it's felt the mixture is quite wet and thick.

4. Knead with your hands slowy until they are even

5. Then Round one by one according to the desired size.

6. After that, Prepare a pan of boiling water to boil the cilok spheres. Use a small fire stove to keep heat stable.

7. Then enter the cilok that has been formed into the water.  Always stir so that it is not sticky on the pan surface.  

8. Boil cilok until cooked

9. After cooked remove and serve.

10. It would be more delicious if added with peanut sauce/chili sauce/mayonaise.

Cilok is a food from Bandung which is shaped like a meatball that has a chewy texture and  served with peanut sauce / chili sauce / mayonnaise.
