Marc Marquez accident at MotoGP 2020

Repsol Honda rider Marc Marquez suffered a broken humerus or right upper arm bone due to a severe accident at Bend 4 on Lap 22 MotoGP Jerez, Spain, on Sunday (7/19/2020).

Marquez, who started from third position, started well and sat in second place behind Maverick Vinales. However, Marquez widened to the gravel in Bend 4 on Lap 5 when he was about to overtake Vinales. Even so, he managed to control his motorcycle and returned to the track in position 16. With good rhythm, he managed to overtake 14 riders at once, returned to position 3 on Lap 20. Unfortunately, when he was about to overtake Vinales again, the 27-year-old rider actually fell hard in Bend 4 on Lap 22 and failed to finish.

It is very likely that Marc Marquez will miss the second MotoGP race this season after a fatal accident at the Jerez Circuit, Sunday, July 19, 2020. Because, Marquez suffered a serious injury in the race.

In his Instagram account, Marquez wrote a short comment after an accident. "Sometimes things don't turn out the way you want. But the most important thing is to get up quickly and forget about it. I hope you enjoy my resurrection. For now I will have surgery on Tuesday (21/7) and fix my right arm fracture. I promise to all of you that I will be back as soon as possible, even better.” Marquez wrote.
